Plans lodged for new log cabins at Donegal holiday village

THERE are plans to extend the Oakwell Holiday Village in Ramelton.

Harry Boyce has requested planning permission for the construction of six additional timber log cabin style accommodation units.

Permission is also sought for the addition of a children’s play area and an adult seating area, together with associated works.

Oakwell Holiday Village is set on the outskirts of Ramelton along a country road known as Ballylin.

It consists of mixture of different types of self-catering accommodation which all blend into the local landscape.

These include restored farm buildings and outhouses, modern barn style chalets, shepherd huts and bell tents.

Donegal County Council say that a decision is due on January 5 next.
