Ronan Curtis on scoresheet as Portsmouth squeeze past Ipswich in FA Cup

RONAN Curtis’ sixth goal of the season helped Portsmouth on their way to the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Portsmouth needed an extra time winner from Sean Raggett to defeat Ipswich Town 3-2 at Portman Road,

It was Curtis who opened the scoring and Tom Naylor’s strike looked to have Pompey home and hosed only for Ipswich to hit back,

Curtis’ delicious free-kick, after Ryan Williams was fouled, broke the deadlock and Naylor added a second soon after.

Jon Nolan pulled a goal back for Ipswich and James Norwood drew the home side level.

Penalties were looming when Raggett pounded for the winner.
