Donegal hurlers set for Croke Park for Nicky Rackard Cup final

CROKE Park has been confirmed as the venue for this weekend’s Nicky Rackard Cup final.

Donegal hurlers will face Mayo on Sunday at 1.30pm at GAA headquarters.

The game is part of a double header with the Christy Ring Cup final between Down and Kildare, which takes place at 4pm.

Donegal have previous won the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2013 and 2018.

Mickey McCann’s men made light of some key absentees to see off Tyrone 3-25 to 1-21 in Saturday’s semi-final,

Gerard Gilmore scored two second-half goals in an impressive win.

Tyrone hit the front when Keifer Morgan ended a surging 50-metre run by firing to the net past Luke White.

However, Donegal hit back and Richie Ryan drilled to the net after Jack O’Loughlin did the spadework to draw his men level in the 20th minute.

Six minutes into the second half, Gilmore bagged his first goal and just two minutes later he added another.
