22 more Covid cases confirmed in Donegal, 344 nationwide

Twenty two more people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Donegal, the Department of Health reports.

There are 344 new cases nationally and four more deaths confirmed.

There has been a total of 2,022 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland since March.

Donegal’s 14-day incidence rate has decreased today to 255.0 per 100,000. There have been 406 new cases in the county in the last 14 days.

The latest figures from Letterkenny University Hospital shows that there were 34 patients with Covid-19 receiving care onsite on Saturday night. Two Covid-19 patients were recorded in intensive care and another critical patient was recorded as having a suspected case of Covid-19.

Letterkenny University Hospital had the second highest number of Covid-19 patients yesterday, after University Hospital Limerick.

As of 2pm today, 269 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 32 are in ICU. There have been 12 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
