MARK Anthony McGinley felt ‘sore’ at some decisions that went against Finn Harps last night.
The Harps goalkeeper had to face three penalties inside five madcap second half minutes as Shamrock Rovers came from 2-0 down to defeat Harps 3-2 in an FAI Cup quarter-final.
“It was a bit hectic for a while,” McGinley – named as the Finn Harps supporters’ player of the year after the game – told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We were the far better side in the first half. We didn’t start the second half overly well.”
Barry McNamee and Stephen Folan had Harps 2-0 up and in dreamland, only for the night to descend into chaos.
McGinley saved an Aaron McEneff penalty, but the Derry native scored twice from the sport before Graham Burke bagged the winner.
McGinley said: “We’re disappointed that it’s the fact that they haven’t opened up and beaten us. Decisions have beaten us – and that’s the disappointing thing.
“We’ve looked at the video…I don’t think any of three are penalties. We’re very disappointed with three very poor decisions. We’re a bit sore about some of the decisions.”
