Donegal 14-day Covid-19 incidence rate has fallen for the first time in a number of weeks.

However, our rate is still more than twice that of the national average.

Donegal’s rate fell by 11.3 to 255 as of 8pm last night.

There are still 32 people in Letterkenny University Hospital suffering from Covid.

The latest stats are good news for Donegal but there is still a long way to go to bring the incidence rate down to acceptable Government levels.

Donegal’s rate of 255 per 100,000 people is more than twice the national average of 113.3.

A worrying ten more counties watched as their incidence rates increased from yesterday.

Waterford, Roscommon, Westmeath, Kilkenny, Longford, Tipperary, Leitrim, Carlow, Clare, Sligo, Laois, Kerry, Galway and Wexford have also seen their Covid-19 rates drop.
