Healthcare diagnostics firm Randox is to expand its operations in Donegal with a new Covid-19 testing facility, according to reports.

The Irish Times reports that up to 50 new jobs are to be created at a new testing laboratory planned by the company in Dungloe.

Randox, which is headquarted in Antrim, has expanded in 2020 following the early development of a rapid test for COVID-19.

The West Donegal facility opened in 2008 with the support of Udaras na Gaeltachta and employs approx 110 people.

The company launched an express testing service at Dublin Airport in November.
