Drug-driver arrested by Letterkenny Gardaí

GARDAÍ in Letterkenny last night arrested a drug-driver.

The Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit made the arrest ar one of their checkpoints.

The driver in question tested positive for the presence of cocaine.

The car involved was seized on suspicion of having no insurance.

A Garda spokesperson pleaded with motorists not to get behind the wheel while under the influence.

The spokesperson said: “Please never drive whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Lets prevent road tragedies this Christmas by making wise decisions in relation to road safety.”
