MOTORISTS in Donegal are being advised to drive with extra caution this morning.
Snow and sleet has fallen in many parts of the county.
Black ice has been reported on several roads across Donegal.
Icy conditions are reported in areas including Barnesmore Gap, Meenaroy, the Back of Errigal road and the Carndonagh-Buncrana road.
Gardaí are urging all motorists to proceed with extra care.
Met Éireann say that a status yellow snow and ice warning is in place for six counties, including Donegal.
The warning was valid from 6am and is in place until 12 noon.
