Met Éireann issue ice warning as temperatures set to plunge

A YELLOW ice warning has been issued for tonight by Met Éireann.

Donegal County Council getters have been dispatched from 3pm this afternoon.

Temperatures are set to plunge to as low as -4 degrees tonight

The yellow warning for the whole country is valid from 6pm this evening until 10am on Sunday.

Met Éireann says: “Temperatures will fall to minus 3 or 4 degrees tonight, colder locally away from coasts. This will lead to a widespread hard ground frost and icy surfaces, with potentially dangerous conditions.”
