All criminal trials scheduled for Letterkenny Circuit Court have been cancelled for the month of January.
A number of trials were due to begin at Letterkenny Courthouse during the next sittings on January 26th next under Judge John Aylmer.
However, the courts service has taken the decision with the move to Level 5 to cancel these trials.
There are a number of sentences still scheduled to go ahead during the upcoming sittings.
A number of District Court Appeals are also due to be heard.
The courts office has now confirmed that this decision will be reviewed on January 26th and a decision will be taken on if trials will go ahead in the first week of February.
Donegal Daily will publish a notice informing jurors if they are required at this time.
