Sadness at passing of band leader John O’Donnell

There is widespread sadness in the parish of Lettermacaward, Doochary and beyond following the death of John O’Donnell.

Mr O’Donnell, from Meenagowan, who was affectionately known as Big John, was a huge part of the local community.

However, it was his association with the Leitir Band that John will be remembered.

Mr O’Donnell’s funeral takes place on Wednesday at 11am at St Bridget’s Church with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
