Local Gardai have issued a warning to motorists after a yellow rainfall alert was issued for Donegal.
The alert was issued by Met Eireann and came into place at 11am this morning and remains until 9pm this evening.
It warns that up to 30 mms of rainfall is expected to accumulate in some places especially in mountain areas.
Gardai have advised people to be careful when driving and to watch out for spot flooding in some places.
