Bird Flu case confirmed in Inishowen

A case of Bird Flu has been found in a swan in Inishowen.

The department of Agriculture confirmed the case on a whooper swan in Redcastle.

Since November there have been 26 cases of Avian Influenza in wild birds across the country.

Poultry owners have been warned to familiarise themselves with the clinical signs of the disease.

They have also been advised to report any suspect cases to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
