Forty more Covid-19 cases in Donegal, 48 deaths nationally

ANOTHER 40 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Donegal this evening.

The 40 additional cased in the county mean there have been 867 in the last 14 days.

Nationally, 48 further Covid-19 related deaths and 1,254 new cases were announced by health officials this evening.

There have now been 193,892 positive cases since the outbreak.

Ireland’s death toll now stands at 3,214.

Of the cases notified today: 587 are men / 658 are women; 54 per cent are under 45 years of age; the median age is 42 years old

As of 2pm today, 1,518 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 211 are in ICU. There were 51 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
