Met Éireann issue status yellow snow/ice warning for Donegal

A STATUS Yellow snow and ice warning has been issued for several counties, including Donegal.

The warning comes into place at 6am on Sunday and remains in place until 6pm on Sunday.

Met Eireann say there will be ‘wintry falls with some accumulations possible’.

The warning is for all of Connacht plus counties Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath and Meath

Met Éireann say for tomorrow: “A cold day with sleet and snow arriving during the morning and persisting through the day. Some snow accumulations are likely, especially on higher ground. Highest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty easterly winds.”
