Covid-19: Nine deaths, 334 new cases in Northern Ireland

NINE more people have died in Northern Ireland after contracting Covid-19.

Figures released today by the Department of Health show that there have been 334 new cases of the coronavirus.

The North’s death toll is now 1,931 and there have been a total of 106,867 cases since the outbreak.

Seven of today’s deaths occurred in the last 24 hours.

There are now 585 Covid-19 patients in Northern Ireland hospitals and the region’s hospitals are at 92 per cent occupancy.
