Covid-19: Six deaths, 297 cases reported in North

A FURTHER six people who had contracted Covid-19 have died in Northern Ireland.

Health officials have confirmed another 297 new cases of the coronavirus.

The six deaths reported today all occurred in the last 24 hours.

The region’s death toll now stands at 2,015.

The latest figures from the Department of Health show that all six deaths occurred within the past 24 hours.

Since the outbreak, there have been 109,785 infections in Northern Ireland while hospitals are now at 97 per cent occupancy. There are 434 Covid-19 patients in hospital across the North, 53 of whom are in intensive care
