A BENCH warrant has been issued for a Strabane man who failed to appear in court on road traffic charges.
Judge Paul Kelly issued the bench warrant for Christopher Nicholas (35) of Castlegrange Park, Strabane.
Garda Tully gave evidence that on July 7, 2019 at 3.15pm, he stopped a grey Ford Kuga, which was being driven by Nicholas, at Derry Road, St Johnston.
Garda Tully made a lawful demand for the production of documents. Nicholas undertook to hand those in to Lifford Garda Station, but failed to do so.
Nicholas – who has no previous convictions – is charged with driving without a driving licence, driving without insurance, failure to produce a driving licence and failing to produce insurance.
Nicholas did not present to court and a bench warrant was issued.
