Investigation underway after forty sheep stolen from land near Errigal mountain

FORTY sheep with distinctive markings have been stolen from under the shadows of Donegal’s iconic Errigal mountain.

A farmer discovered that the 40 sheep were missing when he went to herd them on March 15 last.

A flock of 60 sheep were put out in Dunlewey at the end of 2020.

The sheep were marked with purple paint on three areas.

Gardaí have launched a probe into the theft and have appealed to local marts and farmers.
