Northern Ireland is continuing to report the positive impact of vaccinations as the Covid-19 incidence rate falls in the region.
The 7-day incidence rate is now 48.6 per 100,000 – the first time it has fallen below 50 in six months.
The 7-day Covid-19 incidence rate in the Republic of Ireland is currently 76.2 per 100,000.
The Department of Health in Northern Ireland reported no new deaths today and 107 new cases of the virus.
The NI vaccination programme was expanded to the 45-49 age group yesterday. The latest statistics show 901,766 vaccines have been administered, 756,013 of which were first doses and 145,753 were second doses.
Meanwhile, regular workforce testing is being expanded beyond key sectors to all private sector employers with more than 50 employees who cannot work from home.
