Job Vacancies: DM Waste based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal are now recruiting for experienced HGV drivers & Collection Crew Operators in their waste/recycling division.

See below for descriptions for each role: 

HGV drivers

The current vacancy is on full-time basis.

The roles entail skip, commercial and household bin collections.

The requirement for the roles is as follows:

  • Over 25 years of age
  • Full clean class C Driving License 
  • Minimum three years HGV driving experience 
  • Up to date driver’s CPC Card
  • Excellent written and spoken English 
  • Good communication skills
  • Safe Pass / Manual Handling / good knowledge of local area an advantage

Collection Crew Operators

DM Waste are currently looking for Collection Crew Operatives to join their team. 

This is an exciting opportunity working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.

This role involved working on refuse collection trucks collecting household domestic and commercial waste and recycling.

Requirements: 

  • Good level of English
  • Must be an excellent timekeeper as punctuality is a must
  • No previous experience needed as full training will be provided
  • Manual Handling Cert required however, manual handling training can be provided
  • Safe Pass required
  • Good customer service and manner in dealing with our customers

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and emptying refuse bins in a safe manner and assist the driver in carrying out their role
  • Ensure that customer bins and property are treated with respect, and that the bin is returned to where it was removed from
  • Be compliant with health, safety wear is worn at all times
  • Maintain written and electronic records where required e.g. service dockets, worksheets, timesheets, etc.
  • Any other miscellaneous duties that may be requested of you by management from time to time
