Watch: “It wasn’t good enough” – Ollie Horgan on Harps defeat

OLLIE Horgan put it bluntly after seeing his Finn Harps soundly beaten by St Patrick’s Athletic last night.

“It wasn’t good enough,” was the assessment from the Harps manager after a 2-0 home defeat.

Billy King and Matty Smith netted as Pat’s scored a deserved in. Although Harps battled gamely, Pat’s never really looked threatened.

Horgan said: “There was nothing in it for half-an-hour, but that’s probably the best point that I can say.

“We mustered a fight in the last 20 minutes, but in between that Pat;s were hungrier than us.

“We have no complaints with the result. The better side won. We’re disappointed in our own performance. Pat’s were hungrier than us, which is the biggest disappointing part.

“To give the lads credit, they kept at it, albeit with the game probably gone.”
