Plans have been lodged for an outdoor dining area at one of Letterkenny’s most popular restaurants.
The owners of the award-winning Yellow Pepper at Lower Main Street are seeking permission to erect external awnings and umbrellas to provide shelter outside the existing eatery.
The application was submitted just a day after the government announced that restaurants and pubs can reopen for outside business from June 7.
And it appears there could be a European feel to Letterkenny, and other Donegal towns and villages this summer.
As reported by Donegal Daily last month, Honeypot Coffee House on the High Road in Letterkenny is also seeking permission for a new extension to the front of the existing café.
Donegal County Council says that a decision on the planning application will be made on June 6.
