A GALWAY man is to stand trial in Letterkenny on drugs charges.
Ryan Lait (29), with an address at Milltown, Tuam, Galway, will go before the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court.
Lait was charged in connection to a drugs find at Westside Apartments in Letterkenny on October 1, 2020.
Lait is charged with having unlawfully in his possession a controlled drug, alprazolam.
He is further charged with having in his possession a controlled drug, alprazolam, for the purpose of sale or supply.
Sergeant Jim Collins gave evidence of serving a book of evidence on the accused’s solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher.
Lait is currently in custody at Castlerea Prison.
Judge Alan Mitchell administered the alibi warning, granted legal aid to solicitor Mr Gallagher and assigned one legal counsel.
