RONAN Boyce headed in an early goal to give Derry City a valuable away win at Waterford.

Boyce’s third-minute header was the only goal of the game at the RSC as Ruaidhri Higgins’ Candystripes took a win on the road.

The Ramelton man secured Derry’s first win in four with his second goal of the season.

Boyce rose to flick Will Patching’s cross past Brian Murphy.

Gweedore teenager Patrick Ferry was included in the Derry line-up.
