Pictures: Errigal College holds ‘virtual’ annual prizegiving

Students and staff of Errigal College, Letterkenny, convened virtually this week to celebrate the annual prize-giving ceremony in a year like no other. 

Mr Danny McFadden, Principal, made the opening remarks and thanked all students and staff for their efforts and commitment to teaching and learning throughout the year. He paid particular thanks to the Senior Leadership Team of senior prefects who were excellent role models for the junior students throughout the year. 

JCSP Award Winners

Awards ranged from Attendance, Academic Achievement, Tidy Town Awards and Most Improved Student in each group, JCSP (Junior Cycle Schools Programme), Best Junior Cycle Report 2020 and Best Leaving Certificate Results 2020. There were also the Maureen O’Dowd Award (Art), The McGrath Shield (English) and the Hugh Strain Award (Overall Contribution to school life).

Mr McFadden also congratulated two of 2020s Leaving Certificate students on their outstanding achievements – Catherine Boyce and Weronika Bujok. 

Catherine will be starting in University of Exeter to study Medical Neuroscience, while Weronika is studying Arts and Humanities in IT Carlow.
