Dr. Nigel McKelvey – Head of Flexible and Online Learning adds: “The programme has a 60 ECT credit dissertation associated with it, during this time, students gain skills in their academic writing, their research ability and to create a practical artefact based on their research. Combined, it makes for a fantastic suite of resources that you can use directly in your own classroom, upon completion of this Master’s.”
Dr Gertie Taggart, Head of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, says the LYIT’s transformation into a technological university with GMIT and IT Sligo has led to the development of a PhD programme of study in Computing.
“If you come in here as an undergraduate student, you can go right through to post-graduate PhD level right here at Letterkenny Institute of Technology. We are undergoing a very transformative process and I would be delighted if you would be part of that change with us at our faculty,” Dr Taggart said.
