Young mother from Milford found dead in Belfast

A young mother-of-two found dead in a house near Belfast this week was originally from Milford.

Charlotte Louise Flood (27) was found in a property at Dundonald on Tuesday.

Ms Flood was the mother of two young children. Her second cild was born only a few weeks ago.

Previously, the late Ms Flood attended school in Milford.

The PSNI say the death of the young woman is linked to a car crash, which occurred at Dundonald at around 4.30am on Tuesday.

A PSNI spokesperson said they received a call at of a road traffic collision, involving a black BMW, on the Comber Road, Dundonald close to its junction with the Hillhead Road.

Upon police arrival, they discovered the car at the scene. The occupants of the car were reported to have left the scene in a Suzuki car.

A short time later, police responded to a report from the ambulance service that the body of a female had been located at a property at Ardmore Avenue in Dundonald.
