Vacancies: Lifestart Services has range of positions to fill

Lifestart Services CLG is a home-based community organisation delivering child development information, parenting education and family support to first-time parents in Donegal.

The service also works with children and families in order to provide intensive family support to those most vulnerable ensuring the best outcomes for those children and families.

We are currently seeking to recruit three Lifestart Family Visitors who will be responsible for the delivery of the home-based Lifestart Growing Child Programme in Donegal.

30-hour full-time post x2 funding dependent. The base for this role is in the Lifestart Services Office, Newtowncunningham, Co. Donegal however the staff member will be asked to work from other locations.

• One post will cover part of the Inishowen area and Inishowen Child and Family support Network Area.
• One post will cover Glencolmcille, Carrick, Adara, Glenties, Fintown, Dungloe areas and the North-West and South Child and Family support Network Areas.

30-hour 1-year specific purpose post, funding dependent. The base for this role is in the Lifestart Office, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal however the staff member will be asked to work from other locations. This post will cover south Donegal and the South Child and Family Support Network Area.

The Lifestart Family Visitor will ensure that the ethos, aims, objectives and actions of the project are fulfilled in line with service policies. The role is 30 hours per week. Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will have (Essential):

• A third level qualification relevant to the post. Minimum Level 7
• At least two years’ experience in the delivery of home-based family support
• A clear understanding of Lifestart Services, Child Development, Parenting, Family Support, Meitheal and existing referral pathways in Co. Donegal
• Proven ability to network and work on an interagency basis
• Excellent IT and Report Writing Skills
• A clean full driver’s licence

We are also recruiting for a Financial Clerical Worker who will assist and support the Regional Manager in administering and prioritising the financial clerical duties of the Lifestart Services organisation.

This person will also be responsible for dealing with payroll, creditors, and all related matters, maintaining bank and cheque payments, bank reconciliations and keeping the finance department running smoothly.

The Finance Clerical Officer will ensure that the ethos, aims and objectives and actions of Lifestart Services CLG are fulfilled in line with service policies.

  • The role is 20 hours per week – Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • The successful candidate will have (Essential):
  • A working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Collsoft
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Solid and demonstrable IT skills
  • Solid and verifiable experience in an accounts-related position
  • Ability to work as a team member, to prioritise workload, and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Customer relations experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

DESIRABLE

  • An appropriate qualification to the post
  • Clean driving licence
