Listen: Horgan says Finn Harps must ‘back up’ their draw in Tallaght

FINN Harps manager Ollie Horgan says his side must follow up their draw at Shamrock Rovers when they host Derry City on Friday.

Adam Foley’s seventh goal of the season earned Harps a draw away to the champions on Friday night.

Aaron Greene’s early goal saw the warning signs flash at Harps, but Foley’s second-half goal secured a precious point.

“We’ve only picked up a point – and we need to get a result out of Derry,” he said.

“We need to back it up with some sort of a result.”

Horgan hailed his team’s resolve after shipping an early goal.

He said: “When Shamrock Rovers scored, they were on top for the next ten minutes.

“Had they scored again, the game would have petered out and they’d have won it by three or four. If you go 2-0 down in Tallaght, there is only one way it goes – but we weathered the storm.”
