A LETTERKENNY man raised a superb €6,500 for the Donegal Hospice by growing a beard in the recent lockdown

Donations poured in from all over the world after Giovanni Bianconi launched his fundraiser.

“On behalf of myself, the Bianconi/McClintock/Rodgers families l would like to thank every single person who donated this money for the Donegal Hospice,” he said.

“Big, big shout out to family/friends who are close to me and helped me fill the cards out. They went out far and beyond, all over Donegal.

“Even people from Athlone, Mayo, USA and London donated. All of you people who put your hands in your pocket are true champions in my eyes.

“People came together and raised this donation. I would also like to encourage people to do something to help any charity as it gave me a great lift. Once again, thank you everybody, l won’t forget you.”
