The race started on the main Lifford to Letterkenny Road taking runners out past Murlog Chapel to the village of Ballindraint before heading over the Cavanacorr Road towards Rossgier.

The race goers returned to Lifford enduring the drag on the Letterkenny Road before making their way for a single loop of The Roughan, finishing at Naomh Padraig GAA.

Finn Valley’s Dermot McElchar lead the way running a personal best in a super-fast time of 32:47, 24 seconds in front of his nearest rival.

Lifford Strabane AC’s leading lady, Claire McGuigan (pictured), coached by Michael McKinney, won the ladies race, finishing in an impressive 8th place overall with a superb personal best time of 34:46. Claire was almost 5 minutes ahead of her closest challenger.
