FIVE athletes from Letterkenny AC had an enjoyable day at the Open U15, U17 and Senior Sprints Meet at the Antrim Forum today.

Ryan Canning, Fern Duffy, Emma Price, Katie Elliot and Kathryn McDevitt were all in action.

Elliott followed on from a successful day at the Donegal Championships at the Aura Leisure Centre yesterday with a new 100m personal best today, while she also moved up to the 300m sprint.

That was just 24 hours after she collected six medals yesterday, taking high jump, 75m hurdles and U15 relay golds, 200m and U14 relay silver and an 80m bronze.

Duffy’s 13.53 seconds, a new PB, earned her the gold today while she was third in the 300m.

Yesterday, she too had success with 200m and 250m hurdles gold and 100m bronze.

Price had a season’s best of 13.87 seconds in the 100m and her 300m debut ended in a second-place finish.

Canning clocked 11.85 seconds over 100m and completed the 400m in 52.66 seconds.

In the senior women’s 100m, McDevitt recorded a season’s best of 13.24 seconds and she crossed the 400m line in 64.45 seconds.
