Listen: Francie Friel praises never-say-die Termon youngsters

FRANCIE Friel admits Termon are doing it the hard way – but he heaped praise on his young charges after their latest win.

Termon overcame Naomh Columa in a pulsating contest at The Burn Road last night.

Glen cried foul when Aaron Doherty was upended not once, but twice, and when play continued Termon broke for Eoghan Doherty to net the killer goal.

“We were down to the bare bones, but you have to give credit to the boys,” Friel told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“They have serious appetite for the game and that will stand to them going forward.

“It was a tight game and it was end-to-end stuff with both teams going at it.

“Glencolmcille came here with a good pedigree. They brought a real fight to it. It wasn’t looking good for us in the last couple of minutes, but the boys dug deep.”
