DONEGAL mountain bikers Odhran Laggan, Callum Morris and Aaron Morris were back in action at the weekend.

The Clonmany trio were at Ravensdale, Co Louth for the second round of the Mountain Bike Enduro  Series.

Steep and technical stages were ahead of them, but the weather held to leave them in top condition.

Inishowen Wheelers’ Laggan, competing in only his second mountain bike race in the under-14 category, finessed an impressive eighth.

Aaron Morris, riding for Portal Racing, took top spot in the under-14s by nine seconds giving the youngster his first podium in that category.

Vitus First Track Race Division rider Callum Morris was pushing hard in the U16 category on the longer five-stage course.

Callum bagged first place and 12th overall out of 200 riders. Callum raced in the open category on Sunday, finishing second behind his team mate Gary Donaldson from Omagh, with another excellent overall result ending up seventh.
