The grounds staff at south Donegal golf links had to pamper an awkward customer this week in order to win her ‘seal’ of approval.
Following an inspection of Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh, on Tuesday morning, they discovered a furry creature on the fairway.
“Our course got a full inspection this morning from a difficult customer, but we’re happy to say she gave us her ‘seal of approval’ before leaving,” a club spokesperson said.
The seal also refused to use a divot bag…
The cub seal did not appear to want to leave, however, and while she was coaxed onto the beach, she insisted on returning to the links.
As a result, the club had to call in expert help.
Sea Rescue Ireland opted to ensure her safety and take her to their headquarters at Courtown Harbour in Wexford.
