Met Eireann has issued a high-temperature yellow alert warning for the next five days.
The Moderate Advisory Warning for Donegal was issued through Donegal County Council.
The weather alert warns that temperatures will rise into the high twenties.
Donegal has already enjoyed a number of days of sunshine and rising temperatures with thousands flocking to beaches and parks.
The warning comes into effect from midday today and remains in operation until next Friday.
The warning reads “Continuing very warm until Friday, with day time temperature into the high twenties and very humid at night with temperatures staying in the mid to high teens.
