Lough Swilly RNLI was in action this afternoon following a boat breakdown off Rathmullan.
The alarm was raised after 2pm when a pleasure craft with five people onboard suffered mechanical failure.
Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to the scene by the Irish Coast Guard.
The Inshore Lifeboat Crew towed the vessel to the safety of Rathmullan pier before returning to Ned’s Point to refuel and make ready for service.
A spokesperson said: “Remember if you’re in difficulty or see someone in or on the water in trouble please dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
