A local community group has appealed to people not to dump their household waste in public bins.
The Raphoe Tidy Towns Committee issued the appeal after an increase in such incidents.
And they warned that the authorities have been informed about the practice and action is being taken against the dumpers.
A spokesperson said “Would those responsible for using the town bins for their household and domestic waste please stop.
“The County Council Litter Warden has been informed and the areas concerned are now being monitored by CCTV. To those responsible, you have now been warned.”
