One Armagh player will be familiar for Donegal minors in semi-final

SOME of the Donegal minors will come up against a familiar opponent in this evening’s Ulster semi-final.

Donegal face Armagh at Healy Park and the Orchard squad includes Brendan O’Hagan – a student at St Eunan’s College in Letterkenny.

O’Hagan is the son of Barry O’Hagan, an All-Ireland winner with Armagh in 2002, who moved to Donegal and played for Naomh Colmcolle.

Brendan O’Hagan had featured for Donegal Development teams, but now plays for Clann na Gael in Armagh and is in Brendan Hughes’ minor squad.

Last week, O’Hagan played 49 minutes of Armagh’s 0-12 to 0-11 win over Derry at Owenbeg.

Fellow St Eunan’s College students Donal Gallagher and Gary Kelly are in the Donegal squad.

O’Hagan is also an astute boxer and represented Raphoe ABC. These days, he boxes with Oakleaf ABC in Derry.
