The number of new Covid diagnoses have reduced in four areas on Donegal in the past two weeks.
However, three of Donegal’s seven local electoral areas remain among the 10 worst affected in the country – Carndonagh, Buncrana and Milford.
Carndonagh and Buncrana continue to have the highest Covid-19 incidence rates in Ireland.
The incidence rate has jumped by 66% in the Milford area, where there were 98 new cases of the virus in the last two weeks. Milford now has Ireland’s ninth highest incidence rate.
The HSE is encouraging those living in the vicinity of Buncrana to avail of the pop-up testing centre, which has been extended until August 15th.
