ANOTHER 1,545 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today,
The Department of Health says that there are now 335 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
Of those, 56 are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.
A further 43 deaths from Covid-19 have been notified in the Republic in the past week (since last Wednesday). This brings to 5,155 the number of deaths related to Covid-19 in Ireland.
There are 13 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital, with four admissions over the last 24 hours. As of 8pm last night, one patient with Covid-19 was recorded in ICU at the hospital.
Daily county-by-county figures are no longer released by NPHET, but the latest data shows that Donegal has Ireland’s second highest incidence of infection.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 1024.5 per 100,000 on 6th September. The national average was 450.9 per 100,000.
