ANOTHER 1,459 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The Department of Health says that there are now 296 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
Of those, 65 are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.
There are 21 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital, with one admission over the last 24 hours. As of 8pm last night, there is one patient with Covid-19 recorded in ICU at LUH.
Donegal continues to have Ireland’s highest incidence of infection.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 719.9 per 100,000 on 23rd September. The national average was 379.2 per 100,000. A total of 1,146 new cases have been diagnosed in Donegal in the past two weeks.
