WILD Ireland, Donegal’s own wildlife zoo, will feature as part of Nationwide on RTÉ this evening.

Nationwide airs at 7pm on RTÉ One.

The wildlife retreat was created by Buncrana native Killian McLaughlin and last year featured in a four-part series on RTÉ.

Wildlife Ireland, which is set on 23 acres, is booming once again since the Covid lockdown.

A promo for the show said: “We meet a man whose passion for all kinds of creatures has brought him on a journey from a boy with an interest in small birds and animals to a man who today runs a wild life park in the wilds of Donegal.”

As well as brown bears and wolves, the park is now home to a variety of other species which are key to attracting more than 500 visitors daily.

The other species of animals at the park include snowy owls, lynx, monkeys and snakes.
