ST NAUL’S booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Donegal SFC for the first time thanks to a 12-point win at Milford.

Milford 0-9 St Naul’s 2-16

Shane Conneely and Martin Breslin netted early goals as St Naul’s hit their opponents with a first-half blitz.

Conneely struck after just three minutes when Milford didn’t deal with things when Peadar Mogan’s free dropped a little short.

In the 13th minute, Mohan was the supplier and Breslin clipped beyond Shane Gallagher for the second goal.

St Naul’s led 2-4 to 0-3 at the water break and the Mountcharles men reeled of a succession of points to lead 2-10 to 0-4 at half-time with Stephen Griffin, Mogan, Conneely, Daniel Meehan and Barry Griffin all on the mark.

Milford improved in the second half, but the damage had been inflicted.

Meehan, Cathal Lowther and Mogan kept St Naul’s voting and Brendan McCole denied Rory O’Donnell a late consolation goal.
