A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after getting into difficulty off Bundoran beach on Sunday morning.
The Bundoran RNLI lifeboat was tasked to the area alongside the 118 helicopter.
The woman, who was swimming, got caught in a rip current at around 9am.
The woman managed to make her way back to the beach before being taken to Sligo University Hospital.
