Many parts of south Inishowen will have its water supply interrupted today following at major trunk burst at Fahan.

Local county councillor Jack Murray said he has contacted Irish Water about the situation.

The burst could impact on homes as far down as Newtowncynningham.

Councillor Murray added “I understand that the new line taking water from Inishowen to Letterkenny is also out though supply there won’t be impacted as they have enough locally.”
