A Go Fund Me page has been set up to support the family of a young Finn Harps player who suffered a serious injury.

Adam Mc Caffrey suffered a serious head injury while playing for his side last Sunday.

The young Keadue man was rushed to hospital and then transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital for treatment.

Finn Harps issued a statement earlier in the week asking people to keep Adam in their prayers.

Now the parents of the under-19 Finn Harps team have come together to set up a Go Fund Me page to help support Adam and his family through this very challenging time.

All donations are greatly appreciated and will support Adam and his family as he starts his rehabilitation over the coming weeks and months.

The fund, which has a target of €30,000, was launched last night and is gathering pace with many generous donations already.
