Mona McSharry has broken her 4th Irish record in a few days at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi.
McSharry’s time of 59.35 in the 100m individual medley semi-final wasn’t enough to qualify for the final, but it meant she was the first Irish woman to finish a 100m individual medley in under a minute.
The graduate of Marlins Swimming Club, Ballyshannon competes in the 100m breaststroke tomorrow, the event which she got to the final of in the Tokyo Olympics this summer.
